A few years later he founded a rock band, MERLINO which included Andrea on electric guitar, his mainstream instrument, his brother Lele on bass and his friend Ale on vocals. During the Italian years the band went through a number of drummers, none ever filling the position permanently. In 1997 the band got signed by a Polygram, but the project abruptly halted before the recording was completed and the album was never released. After this episode the band fell apart and Andrea pursued his music career alone. In 2002 Andrea left Italy and moved to Santa Rosa, California where, while working on his music project he started a contracting business in the construction trade to support his family.

In 2012 Andrea started recording the songs for the first album, “Immensity”. He produced the project musically and financially. He wrote and sang all the lyrics on the album, composed and arranged and played all the tracks and instruments on the album. Although the production proceeded slowly due to the difficult economic environment in Sonoma County (USA), Andrea pulled it together and in July 2012 released the first mini album containing 5 original songs. The full album entitled “Immensity” is almost completed and will be released shortly.
