At birth, her parents knew that their little girl was going to be a musical talent. Her dad is quick to remind us... “I just knew it at the first moment I held my beautiful baby girl!" The name "MELODY" came to him instantly, because he
believed she was going to be a singer. Well, Melody didn’t disappoint. She was entertaining by age four, performing “twinkle twinkle little star” in front of friends and family. 15 years later, Melody left home and headed to New York to fulfill her music industry dreams. She got her first job as an intern for MTV. Hoping that this was the beginning of her breakthrough in the BIZ, she realized her talent and determination wasn't enough...she needed an opportunity. When nothing materialized, she had to make some tuff choices. Working all day and doing music all night, she says she knew the lack of money would catch up to her eventually. "I knew something had to give. I wouldn't let anyone know how much I was struggling. It really broke me down, I kept reminding myself that nothing special in life comes easy. So you have to prepare because you never know where the next opportunity may come from. Looking back, I can't believe I was so pridefuL. I just
wanted to prove to everyone that I could make it on my own, but I soon realized it takes more than just ME."
Inevitably, Melody returned back to Florida and focused on building a strong team to help support her career. She landed in Orlando, and set out to find that right producer who could bring her talent to the forefront. The opportunity came when she met The pH4mula, a multi-talented producer/songwriter out of Orlando. He recalls the moment that he was introduced to her, "I was visually overwhelmed when I first saw her...once I heard her voice, then later experienced her personality....I knew I HAD to work with her. She's something very special!" The pH4mula immediately signed her to his production company. They began working together, and
he discovered how easy it was to write for her. No subject is taboo. She doesn’t believe in straddling the fence, or being placed in a box. Her music crosses all genres. She says, "You can describe my music as whatever you hear it to be." Just look out for the sound, and visual delight by the name of MELODY, as she establishes her place in the entertainment world!
