Who are the Matt Argyle Band and why are they playing to packed venues the UK ?
"I think its a groove thing" Matt replies while giving a cheeky grin, "people seem to be loving the songs and the shows and that is so very cool, or it could just be Johanna the fox!".
The Matt Argyle Band is a UK based four piece band. They are made up of Matt Argyle (vocals and guitars), Peter Lancaster (bass), Duncan Burgess(drums) and Johanna Shiu (vocals, flute, viola).
With the release of their first album, Exhale, in December 2004 the Matt Argyle band have been going from strength to strength. Most recently the band had the honour of being asked to write, record and produce a soundtrack for the film "Cycle Writer" which will be released on 26th May 2007. The albums Exhale is available on
and various other download sites (msn music, napster etc), from CD baby or direct from the bands own website The album has created quite a buzz getting a lot of media attention and air play from the BBC, Spirit FM and as far a field as New Zealand and US college radio. Most recently they have been featured on the BBC aspart of the John Peel day.
