BIOGRAPHY
Minneapolis based singer-songwriter Mason Jennings has signed to
Brushfire Records. He joins Jack Johnson, G. Love, Matt Costa, Rogue
Wave, ALO and Money Mark who have all released their latest albums
through Brushfire Records.
The creative folk singer was previously signed to Glacial Pace/Epic, the
label created by Modest Mouse front man Isaac Brock, where he released
2006's "Boneclouds."
Tour partners in the early days with label owner Jack Johnson, Mason
made life long fans of the label's co owners. "Mason has been a part of
the extended Brushfire family since we began the label, and it is honor
to finally put out one of his records. In my view, he is one of the best
songwriters in the land," says co-founder Emmett Malloy. Jack also
weighs in, "Every time I hear a Mason Jennings album it changes the way
I see the world around me."
Mason Jennings is currently wrapping up work on his latest album due out
in May 2008. European tour dates with Jack Johnson and G. Love and
Special Sauce, and appearances at Bonnaroo and Hawaii's Kokua Festival
have already been announced for 2008.
When asked about the signing, Mason said, "I am excited to be working
with friends who share my vision of love, peace and hope."
