Hey Martin! I have declared it INDIE ARTIST WEEK on my site, and you are being featured this week... so you have been added to my Top Friends for the week! Keep on rockin'!!
Thanks a lot Martin, it's an honour to have you as a virtual friend...in retrospect, the song which has the most emotional resonance for me on 'Giant Steps' is 'Spun Around', the one about someone who's just taken an overdose, and is stood at the sink feeling ill and thinking that his God is 'nowhere to be found'...probably because similar things were going on in my life at the time...er...bit too much information there...!
Anyway, thanks, I woke up grumpy this morning but I'm feeling OK now!
Also last night: an exclusive session from The Lizzies, Martin Carr and Mary Wycherley came & performed 2 songs and talked about the wondrous new album 'Ye Gods [And Little Fishes]' and its planned release on 'Bandstocks' [ see http://martin-carr. com & http://www. bandstocks. com ]. Huw Williams talked about 'The Iveys', Soundhog mooned Rod Stewart. We had a Demo of the Week from 'The Short Timers' & Bethan Elfyn gave us a preview of her Radio 1 Introducing show this coming Wednesday night [ 12- 2am ]
Here's the playlist. Check the show out and let me know what you think: themysterytour@gmail.com [ also the address for music / gig info etc. to for next week's show ].

The show featured an interview with Dave Eringa [Manics producer] & Roger Morton [Razorlight's manager] about a new band competition that offers a proper record deal as a prize; Huw Williams is in to talk about Andy Fairweather Low; Soundhog inspires us with Roxy Music; Ann Matthews inspires us with her monthly audio blog; Marcus Warner joins us to enthuse about his favourite new recordings from the South Wales metal and punk scene, and there is plenty of excellent new and Welsh music.

Thanks for the request! Big ups to the main Boo! Check out me latest project: MBV Tribute - "My Brilliant Vocation" In celebration and anticipation of this year's unexpected My Bloody Valentine reunion, The Sea Swallows will compose and post an A-side and a B-side each month for six months using the name of a MBV release (LP, EP, etc.) as the title and inspiration. How?! Why?! See “Tribute to MBV – My Brilliant Vocation” blog at www. myspace. com/theseaswallows . Each release is packaged for free download for one month on our Myspace site as a single with an A-side and a B-side titled respectively after MBV releases in chronological order. Occasionally, B-sides will be augmented with remixes, re-recordings, and apocrypha. The first offering is “This is Your Bloody Valentine” b/w “Geek” & “This Is Your Bloody Valentine (Pastoral Mix),” available now.
Elsewhere, I spoke to Huw Williams about forgotten Swansea punks, Venom; Bec from the Hot Puppies was on the phone to tell us about 'Blue Hands', the Hot Puppies new album, and her new project with fellow Pup, Beth; Jeremy Richardson told us about songwriting sessions he is running over the summer in Aberystwyth; Fire Chief 5 gave us an excellent 'Demo of the Week' *AND* Soundhog was talking about the early years of Virgin Records.
