hey mate,"performance" sounds like somethin Prince would do,it's great!you've out-eccentriced Prince to on it!like the lyrics on "tough love",the whole thing reminds me of Graham Parker,it's got his late nite dark alley vibe to it,love it!the last one doesn't remind me of anyone but that's my favorite, dead moody and real nice sentiment to it. Keep up the good work mate!
Thanks for the lovely comment : D DIY is on BBC6 Music's Band Aid slot on The Breakfast Show with Shaun Keaveny this week. Listeners are invited to leave comments on the 6Music website to gauge public opinion on the track. Here's a link to the 'opinionator': http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/shaun_keaveny/bandaid.shtml
Fabulous as ever to see you sir. The turn out last night probably guarantees we can put on another night of similiar 'unplanned music' in the future so it's very appreciated.
It's taken me far too long to get around to this, sorry. It was great to see you again the other week - always a better class of conversation when you're about.
Tried to respond to your blog. Three times. 'Unexpected error.' They say. The pervs have taken over the asylum. If you had painted the empty pool they might have thought you were inspired by Hockney. It has to be said that the people who dream up our censorship rules are probably the pervs we all should be looking out for.
hello mark. haven't seen you for a while. probably going to the tin on sunday if you're about. also playing a set supporting honeytrap there on weds.28th. all the best cliff.h.
Hi there Mark! what happened to video footage of the open mic night??? Unfortunately I couldn't make it last time as my son was ill but hope to be there next week...
yo Mark, cheers dude!...
I was busy in the hair salon minding my own business soldering some steel gauge 14's in to some guys head takin care not to hurt him too much as he had a mean look in his eye lyk, when a cameraman burst in and started snappin the rude ba**ard!
cant work anywhere to earn an honest living in peace these days without folk trying to expose and condemn 'apparent' ill practises! ;)
hope your new year is top mate!

Yeah, I do know it was positive criticism (though, I admit, I woke up this morning worriting a bit about what you'd said...) - but I find that you kind of get what you get, and what I get most of is love songs... OK, I do get the occasional anti-war, anti-commericialism, anti-TV or anti-politicians diatribe, but they are so rare it's hard to fit them into one of my sets...
Brendan and his band play live at the tin angel wednesday 20th december.
Playing with wes finch and the dirty band and the good anna. get there for around 8 pm to avoid missing anything
Bo! Mr Wood. You go to the top of the class simply for mentioning Orwell - if only more people would, instead of sodding Jeff Buckley! I notice the lovely Thom Corah on your board, have been down to Sumo on a sunday?
More blood and swearing? Bring it on!! They do a 'love' song called 'Dead Skin Mask', don't ya know?!!
It was good to see you again the other night. Hopefully see you at the Muso before the year's out.
