I work in a regular office as a business analyst. I also do quite a bit of freelance writing on the side, along with other silly projects - all in an effort to make a few extra bucks and pay for some things that I probably don’t need - especially when I should be paying down my all of my debt. Life is crazy and I feel like I keep getting second chances. Untrained at nearly everything, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience some awesome things in my life so far. The problem is that, after a certain point, I realized that there was no going back. So as I’m about to enter my 30’s, I’m preparing to really go all out in this next decade of life. Traveling is on the list and more and more it’s a reality. Not that it’s easy. It’s always a struggle to work within the system, the daily office grind and play along while everyone else thinks that’s the only way to live, to survive… and to do anything else is merely the stuff they show on television, or that they write about in ‘inspirational’ books. As if setting yourself up to ‘leave it all’ isn’t being done right now by nearly every modern escape artists of our generation. Escaping from a life less lived and living life deliberately is the goal. Our goal. However, until then, I am reminded that I must put forth the attempt to live today, now, and do my best to not die during the ‘in between’.
