DJ and songwriter, performs in various nightclubs in Montreal, like Sky, Tools, and other events.
Born in Amqui (Quebec, Canada), Mario Leonard at an early age is passionate for artists like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Diane Dufresne and Luc Plamondon.
At 14, he became a member of a Drum Corps (Les Arcs-en-ciel) Montreal-Nord, where he learned the basics of percussion.
At 18, he started his own band (High Voltage), for which he was lead singer : with his band, he made the bar scene of Quebec and Ontario for 2 years.
After a few years working for the Government, he decided to come back to his old love, music, and got a first contract as DJ in 1990 at 'Fuzzy Nightclub'; he finally became DJ resident at 'La Track' from 1991 to 2001.
In fact, it was at this bar 'La Track' that this DJ worked for more 500 Wednesdays, on the theme night 'Woolco Nights' at the Bourbon's Complex. It was a huge success!
In 1997, he was invited to play at the 'Copa' in Key West, Florida and at 'Diverscit..' in Montreal from 2002 to 2006.
At the end of 2004, he won a contest at 'Musique Plus' : 'Fais spinner Yann Perreault' with the title song 'La chair, les animaux' by Yann Perreault, with a remix by Mario Leonard.
For five years now, Mario has writing his own material, House & Pop. Currently, he works on a new product, his own CD.

Il a ete invite a jouer au 'Copa' a Key West (Floride) en 1997 et a la Diverscite a Montreal de 2002 a 2006.
A la fin de l'annee 2004, il gagne le concours presente a Musique Plus 'Fais spinner Yann Perreault', le titre de la chanson 'La chair, les animaux' de Yann Perreault, radio remix de Mario Leonard.
Depuis 5 ans, Mario ecrit ses propres compositions, House & Pop. En ce moment, il travaille sur un nouveau projet, son propre CD.
