I was born in New Jersey in the early 60's, under a full moon in March. I grew up as sort of a misfit, but came into my own eventually. After a while, you just have to live life for yourself.
I graduated from Ohio State with a degree in nursing and began working as a critical care nurse and eventually went into the ER. In 1999 I was diagnosed with Fibrosing Mediastinitis, a disease most people--including myself--had never heard of. I was told I would be dead by the time I was 40. I left my life in Ohio and began traveling as a nurse and ended up spending a few years in California. I had a great time seeing the state, learning to rock climb, meeting new people, gaining new experiences, and riding my motorcycle thorough Big Sur, Yosemite and Joshua Tree.
During one of my assignments, I met and fell in love with someone. She introduced me to Ashland and a few years later we moved to Ashland together. I still struggle with my disease, but have an excellent doctor I was fortunate enough to find when I was in San Diego. He's given me my life back twice so far. I try not to take it for granted.
1. I'm extremely near-sighted. I wear either contacts or glasses because without them I can't see more than 6 inches in front of my face
2. I am phobic about snakes. I can't even look at pictures of them
3. I was tongue-tied as a baby.
4. I have many journals that I've started and stopped over the years. I collect blank books. In fact, I tend to hoard them.
5. I dislike talking on the phone. If you call me, I might not call you back. I am more likely to send a letter or an email.
6. I deleted number six
7. I love maple anything
8. And peanut butter cookies
9. I love cereal
10. I would rather observe people than interact with them
11. I am intrigued by puppets, marionettes and ventriloquist dolls
12.
I am crazy about Henry Rollins
13. I'm addicted to the TV show CSI but only the Vegas one
14. Roadtrips rock my world
15. I am very shy, but a lot of people don't believe me
16. I have 2 tattoos and no piercings

What could be better?

Being on top of the world

Virtually painless, but in Real life, it hurts like HELL!
