But plain and simple...I'm a pop culture geek...I've lived in L.A. since '99 and happily make a living in the TV biz!
Here's an "E! True Hollywood Story," my friend Ted along with my other friends Scott and Drew put together for my birthday. Some of the facts may or may not be true...you be the judge!
When I'm not busy making sure the masses get their fix of reality television, I can usually be found doing one or more of the following...
* Gathering my friends together for a TV night or better yet, a game night to test drive the latest board game I picked up from the store
* Figuring out ways to update my website: mandelweb.com
* Plunking out tunes on my piano pretending I'm some sort illegitimate child of Elton John and Ben Folds in my living room
* Belting out a song...or two...or three...like I'm some sort of illegitimate child of Elton John and Ben Folds at karaoke night at Fubar
* Humming some obscure network jingle like "Now is the time...ABC is the Place"...such a lost art form...
* Being the perpetual "Phone-a-Friend" - for instance, getting a call from a friend who needs to know what obscure sitcom so-and-so starred in back in so-and-so year...(that would be "Buffalo Bill" with a young Geena Davis...cue all-too-catch theme song and Dabney Coleman montage...HERE)
* Spending way too much time online either chatting or going through Ebay looking (but never having the guts to buy) whatever game show, EPCOT, or classic video game memorabilia I stumble across...now if I can just save enough for that Multicade cocktail table!
Just wanted to stop by and say hi and have a GREAT Week!! Let me know if you like my website and if you want me to add any images, banners or links. Its always free. www. WeHoParty. com
going through friends list saw i havent talked to you for some time thought id come by and say hi... are you going to be at Pride this weekend? let me know what day..
Not sure if you're familiar with Duran Duran's "Arena" but this could truly be the worst concert film ever. Every song is interrupted by aliens and screaming...possibly even worse than "Kilroy Was Here"?!?....
Visit www. wehoparty. com and sign my guestbook. If you want to add an event, pictures, banners, or just make a comment. Please email me at Jesse@WeHoparty.com
Dangit...KayBee used to have a ton of those keyboard components for about $20:
A collection of Intellivision hardware and games sold for $4000 in an eBay auction ending midday Sunday, April 20.
The collection included a rare working Intellivision Keyboard Component, along with a Master Component, Intellivoice module and a number of games. The private seller only found the collection recently and was unaware of the worth until doing some research on the web.
Only 4,000 of the Keyboard Components were manufactured and those were only sold in limited test markets.
When Mattel Electronics decided not to release them nationally, they recalled all the ones sold for a full refund plus free products. Those who wanted to keep their Keyboards had to sign a waiver stating that they understood Mattel would not support the unit nor publish any more software for it. To find a working Keyboard Component (with its original box!) is one of the rarest finds in video game collecting.
