| General | My family! And I enjoy playing World of Warcraft. | | Music | Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Flyleaf. You might think their music is sort of sappy (I don't) but it has inspired me in the way I look at situations and people and to keep pushing on no matter how bad things get. | | Movies | I love watching movies but they aren't like they were when I was growing up. These days I have to look movies up on kids-in-mind.com because over half the movies that come out these days have porn, rape and too much cussing and I feel disgusted by it. I feel like a peeping tom just seeing someone makeout on tv because that should be happening behind closed doors - not on tv where the entire world can see. Intimacy should be between two people, not the entire world. It should be something special like a gift, not something to abuse and do freely with anyone, anywhere. | | Television | I don't really watch that much tv but when I do it's usually with my daughter. We like watching The Doodlebops, Charlie & Lola and The Wiggles. | | Books | I've read a few good books but it's been so long I don't remember the names of the books or the authors. | | Heroes | God, for having enough love to make us even though he knew we were going to end up not perfect and for caring enough about us to have the patience to put up with us and our stubborn and rebellious ways. My mother, for having the strength and courage and willingness to live God's word and try to pound it into my brother, my sister, and me. My mother-in-law, for being so understanding and not jumping too quickly to conclusions and for keeping sane in the craziest of situations. My husband, for being such a hard worker and great provider for my daughter and me and for being my diary when I need to open up and for being that oh-so-comfortable shoulder to cry on and for being my punching bag (not literally) when I need to relieve some stress. |
