About me:
Well...let's see...I am an actress and am presently on a show I am very proud of called South of Nowhere. I am very blessed to be able to go to work and do what I love to do best, which is act, and the character I play (Paula Carlin) is about as opposite of me as you can get so it has been really challenging but extremely rewarding. The best part of my job is that I get to work with such amazing and talented people who happen to now be some of my closest friends. We are one lucky group!
Before South of Nowhere, I was on a soap for 10 years called The Bold and the Beautiful where I played Megan Conley. A great show and a great place to work...just literally one big, happy family!!! I miss everybody there.
Recently I just played Kitty Ryder on the new FX series "DIRT" and had a blast playing a lesbian judge in Angela Robinson's "Girl Trash". I've also starred in several feature films such as Totally Blonde, Criminal, The Florentine, The Drone Virus, The Nickel Children Besides my most recent spot on "Dirt" I have guest starred on hit shows like South Beach, JAG, Knightstalker , McBride etc...and really love the Holiday Movie I did for Hallmark called Boyfriend for Christmas that plays now every year at Christmastime. But it is the job I have now that I am most excited about. I play a very controversial character...a character people love to hate...but most importantly I hope I am helping bring to light the need in our society for "acceptance" and "tolerance" in my portrayal of her. She has a journey on this show and it is very complicated and hopefully alot of people will learn from it.
Okay, enough with the serious stuff. So, about me..I am pretty simple to figure out. I LOVE to laugh and what and who I love I love BIG. I love my family!! My mom is my best friend and my Dad has always taught me to go for my dreams, I have 2 amazing brothers and 5 gorgeous nieces and nephews. Everyone in my family was born in Ireland except me, I was born in raised in Chicago but am a dual citizen of both the US and Ireland, but now that most of my family is back in Ireland, I consider home Los Angeles and Dublin, Ireland.
The love of my life is my golden retriever Mr. Guinness (if you couldn't already tell). I take him everywhere with me...even sometimes sneaking him onset. He is everything I hope to be as a person...loyal, devoted, kind, affectionate, goofy and awesome to cuddle with. :-)

Hi Maeve, I've been out of touch lately but I see you have been a busy woman. I lost my partner Katie to ovarian cancer last October; she was 47 years old and was ill for four and a half months.
