L-Mo spends all his time creating heartfelt acoustic music - a rootsy, funky, melodic rythmn fest with a touch of beatboxing groove, he's immersed in listening to it and thinking about it - usually while longboarding around with a smile on his face. Songs such as 'Simple Living', 'Too Bad', and 'Do Things Right' reflect personal philosophies, while 'Surf Lagoona' and 'Made in Heaven' take you to some of the places of L-Mo's imagination and experience of growing up in Perth, Australia, Arizona, USA and Leeds in the UK.
L-Mo's use of slide guitar, banjo, didgeridoo, ukeleli coupled with a dazzling vocal range through beat boxing, display a depth and startling originality. Renowned for his interactive and energetic performances, L-Mo is quickly establishing an international fan base from his home town of Leeds in the north of England, to the far flung corners of America, Australia and Europe. Born from the inspiration of the mountains viewed from a snowboard, streets from a longboard and the world that inspired him, L-Mo's music reflects his desire for people to look at the world in a different way and question the things they would never think of questioning.
They say the facial expression created by turning the corners of the mouth upward is commonly known as a smile. It can convey a wide range of emotion, from approval, to amusement to simple happiness. It's the common ailment of L-mo's audience, along with the desire to shake a leg at his exhilarating originality.
Hip Hop Basement, Acoustic Radio and Jam Radio are some of the online radio stations that have featured L-mo's music most recently.
Right now he's in the south of France writing and recording new material for two EP's scheduled to be released in Autumn 2008 on the independent Gumption, Inc. label.
Spreading energising vibrations through string strumming sing songing pandemonium. That'll be L-mo then.

Some Things People have said about me
"The crazed, beat-boxing, bird-noising, funkoustickery of L-Mo.
He won't be everyone's cup of tea, but that won't bother him:
his music is packed with the joy that only comes from not giving a sh*t."
Sandman Magazine
"He has explored music, his influences, his voice and his guitar and has created a style and sound that is truly unique. He is an inspirational character, writing about things that affect us all, in an honest and soulful manner. Some may say it is an acquired taste due to the originality of his work, but you only need to see him once to be amazed. Mixing energetic guitar strumming and drumming, beat boxing, and excellent vocals, L-Mo generates music that has real depth and texture."
Hey L-Mo I did'nt get chance to say hello last night, my door stewards all went inside to listen to you, leaving me on the door!!- you were fantastic and added a real touch of class to our event- thank you. Andrew.
Hey there guys!!! How are you all? Just the normal reminder coming out that the open mic at the man on the moon will be next tuesday (24th) and we would LOVE for you all to be there. ALSO, the social centre on mill road is having an open mic this thursday (19th) and it would be wicked if you could all be there for that one too... Those of you that were there last time know it's a pretty relaxed affair, if you turn up then you can play and if nobody plays then... well, we'll all just get drunk instead. What can go wrong, eh? But yes, if you're there then you can even get a SPECIAL hug from Mani. Not just any hug, but a SPECIAL one. As long as you can guess the SPECIAL password. Oh also, Mani will no longer be absent from the MOTM open mic as was first thought. Thank God, eh? Alas, Steph-o will. But we can weep for her later. Right! See you there, I hope! Mucho love-o Steph and Mani myspace. com/stephbrownmusic xxxxxxxx
Dude! Thanks a lot for the kind words - it certainly is a pleasure to return the compliment!!! You've managed to flawlessly mix my two favourite things and make something i've never heard before. That in itself is truly awesome, but to do it with such style and a sense of humour is sublime!!! Kudos dude = You're the kind of musician that makes the endless searching worth it x
