Part folk, part soul, part rock and roll. .............

BIO: I write songs not bios so here's what a great writer had to say:
"You've never seen a solo performance like this before. Yes, he is the OneManBand, but don't expect to catch him with a multitude of instruments strapped to his body. No drum on his back. No harmonica mounted below his mouth. And, certainly no cymbals between his knees. That would be all too simple.
Luke uses a foot-controlled live looping machine to transcend commonly perceived musical boundaries. He doesn't just sing or play a tune; rather, he builds his music layer by layer.
He constructs background music by recording fragments of his playing and looping them, all while he continues to build more and more layers. It creates a textural framework of sounds that resonate with every listener. The result: a solo performance with the seemingly seamless sound of a tightly rehearsed band - a band with an honest voice and a live show that pulses with messages of peace and being true to yourself.
It is not enough to listen to the music. One also must see the performance to gain the complete experience - to appreciate the talent of the loop artist Luke Graner. Keep an eye out for Graner at local venues this summer. He's worth a stop and listen and see.
And Graner has his hands full with more that music. The 28-year-old dedicated husband and father of three is a stay-at-home dad. He also does graphic and web design, as well as screen printing" - Bridget Goldsack, Bismarck Fine Living Review.
Visit lukegraner.com to watch videos and listen to the music. Please download and share as much as you like and check out the lyrics if you really want to know more.
PERFORMING LIVE
Nowadays I perform solo "one man band" shows but have started rehearsing and gigging with a selection of incredible musicians. I'm smiling ear to ear every time we play.
INFLUENCES: The words and music of Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Radiohead and Xavier Rudd are very inspiring to me. I love the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Phish, Weezer, Travis, the Shins and many many current singer/songwriters like Mason Jennings, Damien Rice, Neal Peterson ect.
Lemme top that... not only are you a sweetheart, you've got amazing music with which you share! I'm so glad to know you and your beautiful family Luke! Happy New Year!!!
