Lowbeam has been a band since 2002 but the duo of charles james and jaimee marie began making pretty music together long before the new millennium. They met in Seattle the night Natural Born Killers was released, serendipitously. They discussed the East Coast, where charles james was from and jaimee marie had once lived, and the importance of New Order and The Smiths and of course, Red Sox baseball. Some say it was love at first sight.
Their objective is to create music, make records and live life. Gone are the naïve days of wanting more because what they have is perfect. They live in Boston, MA and are currently freezing their asses off but loving every minute of it.
Lowbeam will release their first full length recording, ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’, produced by Michael Deming (Pernice Brothers) this spring.
Hey Jaimie and CJ, long time no see. I just found out that you two moved to Boston by reading your bio. I hope it works out for the best. Gonna go to some RedSox and try to get some gigs which are difficult to get. We should hang on those occations. Anyway, take care and hope to see you guys. Want to hear the record too. - Birms
