Sounds LikePizza is a worldwide phenomenon. In the United States its popularity began after World War II. Today there are over 50,000 places selling about $30 billion of pizza per year in North America alone. At least five factors have fueled its growth. First, pizza combines ingredients from all basic food groups. Second, it requires personal involvement—the cutting, picking, pulling actions make it a unique eating experience. Third, it’s a social food. Eating pizza involves sharing—the “breaking of bread.” Fourth, pizza embodies exciting, universal flavors—fresh baked bread, tangy tomato, Italian seasonings, cheese and, in many cases, spicy meats and vegetables. Finally, it’s a versatile food that has thousands of variations. It’s no wonder that this amazing creation has risen from humble beginnings to become one of the world’s most exciting, popular, and interesting foods.

   About The Pizzas
The Pizzas started in the mid-80's, after being influenced by the scene in "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" in which our hero Spicoli orders a pizza pie in class, much to the dismay of former TV alien, Mr. Hawn (or however you spell it). Little Caesar, Dominose and Sista Celeste (real names: Matt, Charles, and Christine) have been cookin' ever since, performing saucy originals and cheesy covers to Pizza-lovers for the past 30 years. Their debut record, "Meat The Pizzas" wasn't a critical success and was internationally panned. Even with X-large hits like "Highway To The Calzone" and "Cheese Please Me", they couldn't manage a topping ten hit, even though fans recognized them as the "original crust punks". Their second record "It's Not Delivery...It's The Pizzas" sparked controversy among the food and woman's rights community, mainly because of the cover, depicting a nude Mama Celeste eating a big pepperoni. Although the album's single "Tombstone Blues" (not the Bob Dylan song) was a hit in Palermo, Italy, it didn't manage to melt the hearts of the rest of the world. Heavily influenced by their daily ingestion of magic mushrooms, the band briefly changed their name to "Sgt. Pepperoni's Stuffed Crust Band", a move that made sober fans of the band dismayed, but druggie fans of the band elated. When they sang "we hope you will enjoy the dough", they meant it. The accompanying record fared better than its predacessors, reaching number 4,996 on the Hashbox Top 5,000. The band went on hiatus in the late '90's when Charles (then known as John Dough) informed the band he was going on a cheese and meat-free diet. "We didn't know what to do", Christine has since said. "Singing about vegetarian, cheese-less pizzas is like the Who singing about wanting to die in their 80's. It's just not the real 5 for 5 deal". In 2001, the Pizzas were reunited, thanks to the help and "pizzas for life" guarantee of long-time fan Papa Murphy. (Papa John is more of a Mamas and Papas fan). They released a double-album that year, "The White Sauce Album", which was hailed by critics as "a master piece". After more than 40 years under the heat-lamp, the Pizzas have self-risen from obscurity to, well, more obscurity, but who gives a shit. MySpace Layouts
