My mom, probably the sweetest girl I've ever met. She is like a best friend, endlessly supporting me no matter how weird and occasionally obnoxious I can be. I wouldn't trade her for any other mom, and man, do I hope I age like her. :)
About me: Call me Rini, Rin, or Rinature. Rinature is my favorite. I play the bassoon and I like weird yet adorable things. I'm really shy. My life revolves around clothes, playing music, the internet, and school. I am probably the dimmest bright person you'll ever meet, I'm a huge airhead, I'm ridiculously weak, and I get jealous easily. I'm also super nice unless you're my little brother.
I am madly in love with lolita fashion and decora fashion. I don't care if you think I look stupid because most likely I think your outfit looks stupid too. Lolita fashion takes a lot of dedication, coordination and money, we don't just throw on a random pair of jeans and a t-shirt. This is like back in the old times, when fashion was detailed, expressive, and beautiful. This is a chance to appear innocent, even if we are shunned by 90% of the population while people who dress like tramps are praised for some strange reason. Decora, well, it just plain rocks.
I choose my hair color, I chose my name, I choose my clothes, soon I may even choose my eye color. A lot of people hate it, a lot of people hate me for it. Life goes on, loves, and I'll always continue to not give a shit about your opinion.
-your rock band
-people who think they look cool when all of their myspace pictures have that pouty lip pose
-excessive chat speak users
-slutty/creepy/freakishly perverted people.
-people that are going to add me and not talk to me.
-people that post that stupid "freshmen" bulletin. I'm a senior and I still think it's the most ridiculous thing I have ever read.
I would love to add...
-other lolita, decora, j-fashion in general people
-others with any other interest I have
-really nice people
-friends I already know
-those really rare people with good morals and a mind of their own
I tend to clean up my friendlist quite a bit, so if I delete you don't be offended. It's likely because you've never spoken to me at all, we haven't spoken in a looooong time, or you just started to get on my nerves. USUALLY it's the first two, so I'm likely to re-add you if you ask.
For the most part, the order of my top friends is somewhat random.
Oh, you like scrapbooking? How neat! I've never really followed through on putting one together; I had lots of supplies but I'm not sure where they all went...o.o
Right now I just have a photo album I stuff little photos and memorabilia in.
I know! I read something on LJ that said decora has no rules...LIARZ! >_< It doesn't have DEFINITIVE rules. But like you said, there is definitely a look. And I don't have it. ;.; Someday, someday...
I have ideas about what I want to do now - I need to stop complaining about not having any stuff and go buy it, eheh. ^^;
I'm just tired of waiting for the opportunity to shop for the stuff I want. Maybe I should try to buy accessories and stuff online. I need some cute/casual shirts and skirts too, everything I own is too dressy.
The idea of all those shipping costs kill me though! ;_; Especially since decora is something that can be pulled off for relatively cheap if I could shop around :P
WAH WAH WAH, like I said, I just need to stop whining. Haha!
When I can drive things will be better. I want to learn to make some of my own accessories too, that might help!
Ohh. BJDs are so beautiful, but I think I would go with the brand dress too :D heheh.
I know! I thought I was so sure of my major but now I'm starting to second-guess again...bahh!
Good luck deciding o_o
My dad keeps saying "don't rush it, it's ok if you need to take some time to decide what you want to do". But I don't want to be a mooch XP
or a "parasite single". hahaha. that's what I'd be once I can finally get into lolita.
The decora thing was like, ehhh...I like decora but I have no stuff for it. And I really don't know much of anything about it (obviously), as compared to loli...which I've loved and have been studying for years.
We went to Joann's yesterday but I didn't get any time to look at fabrics! I spent some time in the lace section though :] I want to make a dress so bad...
That's totally understandable, I've been busy with school too.
I've been doing well! Stressed about school, but ya know...I still feel like I'm adjusting to being back in school. Haha!
Today my sister and I tried coming up with decora outfits with stuff we had in our closets.
It turned out...interesting, ahaha. ^^; My sister actually had a lot of good items.
I was surprised by what I had, but most of my wardrobe is more subdued...cutesy but formal, so my outfit was a bit of a stretch.
I might post some pictures though. I think it would be fun to incorporate decora-style accessories (and a new skirt) into my wardrobe more, then I would feel more confident about my outfits.
It's hard for me to make odds-n-ends stuff work >"<
But yeah, that was just today's adventure!
Mostly I am getting ready for my show for drama, it's in two weeks!
And I need to practice for black belt testing in November. But I am feeling sooo lazy...o_o
Indeed. It's issue 3! It's an alright issue. There are a few patterns that are worth looking at if you sew. Plus they have a few articles on US "brands" like Blasphima's Closet/Megan Maude. Too bad I never see anything in stock at their web pages. Bah!
Indeed you are! Lemme see.. what page are you on.. You're in the back, page 113 in a white or very light pink BTSSB once piece and, oddly, wearing the exact same boots I had on today! ^_^ I love those things.
