Lord Algie de Witt IV, publisher of MAMi Magazine and CEO of MAMi Music is the son of Algie deWitt III- Jazz Musician [John Coltrane - Pharoah Saunders, etc.] and maternal GrandSon of Robert Williams [Billy Ward] of Billy Ward and the Dominoes of Doo Wop fame in the early 1950s [discovered Jackie Wilson and Clyde McPhatter].
DJ Lord Algie began spinning in the late 1970s as a part of the group "Disco Rat" out of Philadelphia, battling with notable street crews like Captain Boogie, Galaxy 5, Sex Machine and more... he then went on in the US NAVY [Journalist] to spin in Alaska, Japan, Spain, California, Florida and many other locations around the world. Lord Algie simultaneously worked in many radio and tv stations as on air personality and wrote several music and entertainment columns throughout the 90s
After battling the demons of success, suffering deaths and losses of key family members, Lord Algie re-emerges as one of the most talented, credible and understated DJ/Producers in the world, having innovated many styles over many genres.

The upcoming release of his debut album "Second Coming' [on MAMi Music/VMG/Universal]. The title of this album is personal and conveys his reluctance over the years to assume his birthright as Lord of the House, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, R&B, Lounge music scenes.
"Second Coming" is also about a sleeping nation of people who have ventured into the poppy fields on thier way to Oz.. and who now are slowly awakening to what has happened and taking our positions to do what we came here to do in the first place.
