Living Stone's music is a unique blend of guitar based roots rock and pop with strong and spiritually insightful lyrics. Guitarist Randy Jackson (his real name) as well as vocalist/bassist Evangeline write the band's songs.
The band started playing together in the Twin Cities area about 1995 and has made frequent tours to Canada as well. The band's first nationally released CD is called Spirit Whisper and was released in 2004. Check out CD Baby.com/livingstone to purchase the album online. The band is composed of Evangeline on lead vocals and bass and Randy Jackson on guitar and background vocals. Drummer Percy Gutierrez of Minneapolis, MN has played with the group since 1998 and has played on the group's "Spirit Whisper" album, as well as its forthcoming CD. Drummer Royce Platero of Albuquerque, NM has been working with the group since 2006. Singer/ Guitarist Jesse Abraham also performs with the group when available and appears on both of the band's CDs.
Evangeline is a member of the Prairie Island Indian Community, a Dakota tribe located near Red Wing, MN. She grew up on the Fort Traverse reservation near Sisseton, South Dakota. She began singing at the age of four, performing gospel music with her family. In 1986 she married Randy Jackson, a member of the Whitefish Lake First Nation, a Cree tribe in Alberta Canada. They performed with the group SonRise, one of the first aboriginal groups to perform all original Christian music. The group toured North America until 1995.

Yesterday, I found a little bird dead on my steps so I said a pray for the people who are taking their first steps into the spirit world. Today I found a dove nesting next to my steps along with a mother bird and a baby bird perched next to her. I said a thank you to new life and new begins. This really did happen.
