About Little Volcanoes

Based in Manchester, Little Volcanoes are not just “another Manchester band!” Little Volcanoes combine the energy and excitement of rock, with the sexy sing- along hooks of cool sophisticated pop and dance floor filling grooves. Over the short time that Little Volcanoes have been together the band has had various radio airplays. In (date) the band featured in a BBC online live session and was reviewed alongside Morrissey, Bruce Springsteen and The Kooks. To date the band have enjoyed three live appearances on local radio station All FM and have featured on XFM radio. The bands single “Can We Do It Again” released in (date) was played on the BBC big screen at Exchange Square, central Manchester. One of the bands main strengths is the quality and excitement of its live shows. There have been many successful live shows to date. The band headlined the opening night of Manchester’s Hide and Seek music festival at the infamous Dry Bar back in May this year, playing head to head with Steve Diggle (The Buzzcocks) and was a major success. The band has progressed to such a level that they are now getting on main support slots with signed acts. Previous support slots include a Mark Morris (The Bluetones) gig in June and a Mr Rizzo (ex Bodyrockers) gig, also in June this year. The band, having developed a sizeable fan base in and around Manchester and are currently playing packed shows up and down the UK to rapturous acclaim. The bands latest E.P was recorded at Moolah Rouge studios, Stockport in July this year. Bands such as Elbow, Cherry Ghost and I am Kloot have all been through its doors in the past to record albums. Little Volcanoes are dedicated to playing as many shows as possible and bringing their music to the masses.
