The band in it’s current shape and sound was founded in August 2007 in Gdansk. But first steps were made a few years back.
Line-in story…
It all began in November 2001 – that’s why band brought number 01 to it’s name. Of course the beginnings were hard but from the get go they got that facility to create hard, melodic riffs combined with slinky hip hop and jungle rhythm section.
In that time the band consisted of 4 members – Bart, Maciek, Kaczmar and Truchel. 2 months before their first show ever they finally found their lead singer – Bart’s lil’brother and comic fanatic – Marcel. He’s the author of all art related to the band – covers, posters, web side etc. It was year 2002. From that time the band was playing regularly and they recorded their first demo. After that also appeared some successes on local band reviews (Lipozona, American-English song contest). The band started to be known locally.
Unfortunately then were harsh times for the band. They lost their rehearsal room an haven’t played over a year, meantime Truchel left the band.
In summer 2004 they’ve got their own practice place and the hooked up with their new guitarist – Oscar. They returned on local stages in March 2005.
Not whole year after another problems appeared not only again with rehearsal room but also inside the band . Finally Kaczmar left the band and the band was at the breakdown point.
Eventually all what has happened just made the band stronger and gave a kickstart for the “new and improved” LINE-IN 01. In May 2006 they released theirs “constant struggle [ep]”
In summer 2007 the band dismissed their hiterdo guitarist and replaced him with 2 new guitar players - Bozo and Mike, the band sounds even better right now!
The band’s got ups and downs but they still continue their journey in music – playing concerts and constantly writing new material for bands first ever, long awaited LP – coming soon, watch out for it.
