The Evin sisters began their musical journey as pre-teens having a passion for creating music. "We wrote our own songs before we could even play a cover tune" states singer/keyboardist Lacey-Lee, the oldest of the songwriting duo. Years later and two cd's under their belt, the Evin sisters' band Lillix has transformed into a pop/rock act who loves to play live. "We've gone through some different members, management and crew but our vision is alive and well" says singer/guitarist Tasha-Ray. " Lillix fans are the most important part of the Lillix formula and we mean to please" says Lacey, "With our best yet to come".
Lillix signed to Madonna's record label, Maverick Records in 2001 with their debut album "Falling Uphill" selling over a half a million records world wide. Lillix has toured the United States, Canada and Japan, where the album went Gold.
The bands sophomore album "Inside the Hollow" is a product of the bands evolution, whose songs were inspired by life's lessons. Recorded by producer Jeff Saltzman (The Killers) and James Michael (Alanis Morrissette, Motley Crue), "Inside the Hollow" features the hit single "Sweet Temptation", which recently made Blender Magazines list for the top 100 best songs of 2006.
Lillix has received Juno nominations for Best Pop Album and Best New Group, won 2 Canadian Radio Awards and performed with high profile acts from Kiss to Christina Aguilera. They have played on the Warped Tour and had their songs on the movie soundtracks for "Freaky Friday", "Princess Diaries 2" and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen". To date, Lillix has produced music video's for the songs "It's About Time", "Tomorrow", "What I Like About You" (which features Lindsay Lohan), and their latest video "Sweet Temptation".
With the recent addition of power drummer Eric Hoodicoff, Lillix will again expand their horizons.
