Born in Toronto to a Film Producer and a Journalist/Model,
Lex was raised in thirteen different countries with many animals, stars, eccentrics and cultures.
Her writing and performing from the earliest years was influenced by her Aristocratic/Gothic Eastern European grandparents and her solid Torontonian roots, as well as the early 90’s street and punk scene spanning from New York to Hungary.
At 8 years old, she was a published artist despite being kicked out of over 10 schools.
At 13 she was singing with blues legend Jim Byrnes. Many of her songs, which she composed and sang, were snatched up by "Highlander" the Series and are still being played today.
By 14, she was lying about her age and performing in night clubs.
She partnered up with "Dangerous Dan" Cowan, a classical guitarist, biker, and physicist, (teaching at UBC) and they recorded five original songs with the hard rock band "The Binge".
She was mentored and encouraged at this time by Roger Daltry of The Who" and Roland Gift of the "Fine Young Cannibals" and a video of her song "Infest" was produced and featured in a Movie of the Week written by Mary Higgins Clark called "Cyberstalking".
Lex also formed many basement projects, the most notable, "Urban Fracture" and "Cannibal Noise Gods" which were predominantly electro noise and active in the Vancouver Art Scene.
Currently, one of Lex’s collaborative songs was in the Tv series "Painkiller Jane" and even more currently she is collaborating on a newly formed project with elusive genius and electronica/industrial veteran Sasha Keevil.
