I also take commissions. Here are some rules:
I'll do pretty much anything you want. But here are a few exceptions:
-Pornographic images or any nudity in bad taste.
-I am NOT GOOD with letters or logos with letters as the primary focus. I'm probably not the person to ask for this kind of thing.
-Please, nothing too architectural or technical. I'm not good with a lot of buildings or machinery. I can do a little. Basically, don't give me a project that will eat away at my life. :D
-I'll design a tattoo for you, but I am reluctant to do so. Chances are, your tattoo artist will want to edit MY version and end up re-drawing it altogether anyway. Their version would probably kick my version's ass and a tattoo artist knows way more than I do about what would look good as a tattoo and what wouldn't.
-FOR THE LOVE OF GOD do not ask me for something two days before you need it. It just won't happen. I am not a machine. Sorry. As a matter of fact, depending on the project I'm given, it may take me two weeks to two months or more to complete it. DEADLINES MUST BE COMMUNICATED!
I reserve the right to turn down any commission for lack of time, that I feel is in poor taste, or for any other reason.
Here is a list of available media I can use:
-Regular graphite pencil (drawings and b/w shaded drawings)
-Colored pencils (Prismacolors)
-Watercolor, oil, acrylic paints
-Sharpies, ballpoint pen
-Photoshop CS digital painting w/ Wacom tablet
-Any works commissioned requiring mixed media will cost more.
-All sizes will be discussed via e-mail, since I'm always running out of and getting new papers, canvases, etc.
Prices will be discussed via e-mail. I normally charge around $10 an hour that I work on a project, materials will follow (unless the piece is digital). A typical completed piece costs $50-$200. I must request that I recieve payment before beginning on the drawing OR after I send the rough version for approval, just to make sure I don't do a bunch of work for nothing.
BANDS: If I know a band member personally, I'll do their first artwork for free. Anything after that shouldn't be more than $30-$50. If I do not know any members personally, regular pricing still applies. Do not try to become my friend on Myspace to sweet-talk me and then ask me to do something for your band for free, that doesn't work.
FRIENDS/FAMILY: People I know personally get discounts, too.. usually I'll do things for free! Just don't take advantage. ;) Again, adding me on myspace and sucking up doesn't count as being my friend.
Shipping: Of course this doesn't apply to friends, family, or anyone in the area. Digital art does still apply since I'll send you the original lineart.. and if you'd like me to send a couple nice prints on matte or glossy photo paper, I can do that also. But all drawings/paintings will be shipped in envelopes, so I ask that a shipping fee starting at $2 be included in the price. If you live outside the US, shipping starts at $5.
