About me:
Cultural preservation is important to me. I have a keen interest in telling people about my Laotian culture because I think it's important we retain our cultural identity. I am also part Vietnamese, but do not know anybody from that side. It's complicated to explain, however I am still proud that I have some Vietnamese blood in me. I think it is good to be aware and know our cultural background no matter what we are. Of course it's wonderful that some of us have seamlessly assimilated into the American culture since we have emigrated here. However it would be a tragedy if we forget our own roots. No matter who we are or where we come from, we should never disregard our cultural heritage because it is our legacy to give to our children. Consider this"Every view of the world that becomes extinct, every culture that disappears, diminishes a possibility of life." Octavio Paz

Thanks for comments! Yes, I taught Math,English and World History to high school students at home before. But they already passed and got certificates! Very gald to know when they moved on their own lives. I am currently opening a class for learning Thai/Lao traditional dance to kids in the school, Japan. Of course,I know I need to learn and study lao traditional dance more. If I have a chance, I would like to learn Lao traditional dance.
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Wishes,

Hey, I read the article about Archie, I'm sorry that things have been such a pain. I don't know much about government, much less anything about foreign gov. but if there's anything I can to do help out, please let me know! I hope that he can come home soon! I'll keep you, him, and your kiddos in my prayers.
