About me:
Ladma are an award winning comedy trio from Brighton. Although they have spent most of their short career making films, they have now branched out into performing live gigs. Their style has been likened to Chris Morris and The League of Gentlemen.

In their first year they have won the Jury Prize (Brighton Film Festival Rush), Best Comedy (Cotswold Film Festival), Best Newcomer (Stamford Film Festival) and been featured on Myspace. They also recently won Current TV’s comedy award for their short film “Pet Hates”. Their films have been well received at a variety of festivals and film nights (apart from the one about date rape).

Well at least the people who are seeing your stuff are enjoying it.

Things are good here thanks. Currently just getting everything together for the Hen & Chicken show next week. Any idea if you can make it along? Then the next night, we've got a show with Pappy's Fun Club which we're very excited about.

We're putting together a cast. At the moment, there are two others and we're looking for one more. It's a sketch show. We did a version of it in New York the other week and it went pretty well. Still got a lot of work to do. We've got a show at the Hen & Chicken Theatre in London in May - we're aiming to have it pretty much complete for then. If you're free on the 25th, you should come along. What kind of show are you guys doing?

We sent off our 40 word blurb and all the details today, just in time for the first (cheaper) deadline. So we're quite pleased with that. We also met someone in NY who is working on a flyer design for us. So yeah, we're getting there.

Mar 29 2008 5:42 PM

That's a shame. We'll still have to meet up for pizza or perhaps even noodles.

When is brighton?

Susan Janis was their first choice but as you say it didn't fit with the flower theme they had. while we are on the subject of names, our uncle wanted to call janis Cosmo and our mum wanted to call her lloyd. if she was a boy. or not, actually.....
hmm abbreviations are probably the way to go in this day and age especially if you have busy comedy lifestyles but i have nothing better to do so there we are...
