The band was formed in 1998, but acquired its name in 1999, after the keyboardist b. started his own solo project. Eventually, 'Lacklustre Mirror' became the name for the band.
It wasn't until 2007, however, when our debut 'double' album had been released. The album 'The Book of the Shattered Bonds' consists of two parts - 'Dark Water', and 'Shattered Bonds'. The third part - 'Forgotten Songs' will follow in a year or so. It is being recorded now.
The band's music is described by its members as 'Dark art rock', just because this definition doesn't provide any special obligations. Lacklustre Mirror's music had always been quite ecclectical, both classic, gothic and metal-influenced, and extremely emotional. Many people find it's quite dark and gloomy, - sort of, yes, but none have called it pretentious so far.
