Kathleen's Interests
General
Life! Loved ones, painting, music, finding hidden treasures,
solving mysteries, cooking, curling up with a great book, writing, travelling, learning...and silence.
Music
Oliver Krol (O. KING KROL) John Lefebvre, and now, of course, all of my friends' music, and what a great group of musicians have assembled here! I know some more world-class collaborations can evolve from this...
Television
Must confess to quite liking Life, and enjoy Heroes, House, and Journeyman. The Amazing Race is a reminder of all the years travelling and the crazy situations which arise...
Television has again become a part of my reality during the long and often dark winter nights.
Books
Constantly, perpetually, indubitably! The New Earth by Eckhardt Tolle. Jennifer Egan's 'Look At Me', was a tour de force!
The China Years, by the Canadian, Dr. Bob McClure, is true adventure during the 1940's- highly recommended!
'An Anthropologist on Mars', by Oliver Sacks.
Everything by Larry Dossey MD.
Heroes
All those who stop to lend a hand.
All those who truly see.
About me: The Journey of the Brush : One fateful day many years ago, I picked up a Chinese painting brush, learned the basic Chinese writing strokes, and began a wondrous journey which will continue for the rest of my life. As a child I wrote poetry and painted, then left these activities behind when I began a career and a family. Pottery was one artistic outlet during those years. Now painting is central to my existence!
In 1994 my partner, O and I headed off on a journey to visit my second teacher, Mr. Peng, in Kuching, Borneo.
Twelve years later, after living in many of the countries of South East Asia, we have returned to Canada.
The first slide show below is a small selection of work of the past decade or so, and a few shots of our Asian digs.
Good day beautiful soul how are you in this fine moment of infinity, It has been a while since I have been in touch....
Life has been so very strange & colourful of late but now I feel a balance & a re-alignment taking shape... Reality is truly beautiful, how wondrous our world can be, If only we could see right out into infinity for there are no boundaries here....
Thank you my friend for your being & for sharing your energy with me, together we will co-create a new world, a simple world, a beautiful world, one world.... I leave you with this ponderous thought...
Hi Kathleen, Thanks a lot for your kind comment ! Did it thinking of the Haikus, and I'm trying to find someone to translate in japanese characters the poem I've written:
You are such a sweet bisquit! It was so good that i might ask him for a mp3 to put up on my player. I used to do that before - one slot for a new unsigned great artist/band every week, but i stopped cos i couldn't find great stuff every week, but i would love to put him up for what it's worth. Hopefully a few kean ears that will love his sounds just as i did and i know you do!!!
Could you ask him for me? Or maby i write a line to him ?
-That's one fantastic song and a very good & personal voice!!!! REALLY liked it a lot, so thank's for the hint AND for spending your time on voteing - Cant tell you how great that is!!!! -There's a lot of "dirty tricks" going on on that site so i HAVE to ask people even if i HATE to do so. Anyway - Big hug, kisses and your Karma credit looks fabby by now :-)
So good to hear from you Kathleen, I hope you doin' fine. I will go check out Oliver's new tune directly! It's been a loooong winter, I am so glad that Spring has sprung! I'm still keeping the flame alive! :) x
