This rock and roll band is the product of boredom and narcissism. Formed in early 2001 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, we still have nothing to show for ourselves.

just found your album in some hidden corner of itunes, and realised i all kinds of missed it. and that you guys should still eventually get to ohio, eff hiatus.
I bought your guys album the mastadon along time ago but lost, I was wondering if I could get another copy. I'd be willing to send out some cash for it so let me know.

man, michigan misses you guys. i miss hearing the breakdown at the end of Operative Title live, gets me every time. and that riff in He and We, genius. i hope you guys are still making music over in oregon. you're still my favorite band!
umm, please tell me you guys aren't going to stop making music. over the past year, i can't tell you how many times i've listened to the mastodon. it's really made an impact on me and i would hate to see all that musical talent go to waste. much love from northeastern pennsylvania.
hey i miss you guys, i miss your laugh, i miss your smell, your far out riffs, neat outfits, talk of ice cube, i think we should get an apartment together or you should come play in my kitchen again...otss-only the strong survive
so after years of you not having a CD and me giving up hope... seeig the mastadon at Vertigo really suprised me. Nate had sent me unmastered versions a few years ago and that's all i've been relying on until now. Fantastic job fellas!!
I got the new disc. Makes me miss the good ol' days. I had to give up alot of naps for those damn songs to come together... Maybe after you're through with your mid-life crisis you'll get back together and play in SC.
Thought you would like this:

You're more punk, hardcore, mod, straightedge, emo, indie than me. Your hair is cooler, your pants are tighter and you have more tattoos. You have cooler pins on your messenger bag and your favorite band is more obscure than mine. Your glasses are thicker and blacker than mine, the plugs in your ears are bigger and you know more people in bands. Because as we all know that's what really matters. In a scene where the music has taken a backseat to the haircuts, you win and I lose.
It seem s like eons ago when I first met you guys.
At the B.E. Henry Building, sometime in 2001--I asked you for your cd and you said you only had one (I think it was before you had an actual cd), but it was for a friend that never showed, so you gave it to me. I really enjoyed it and I still listen to it today.
Jeff-- you guys are awesome! i heard about you from your mom. (i'm not really sure whether you care or not) but she told me about you guys and she taught me in seveth grade). anyway... send me a comment.
ahahaha ijust went to your page to add you guys cuz i was looking at who i saved on my purevolume thing n i tried to add you guys, but i forgot you were my friend already ^_^.... just thought you should know.
