Howdy Aunty and Uncly!! I was just looking on your site and your friend Kevin McKrell did all of the paintings at the Parting Glass! I hadn't talked to you guys in a little while so I thought I would say hi!! Love you both!! See you soon!!
Hi! I'm glad to have found you on here. I remember seeing you perform at Mohonk Mountain House about 13 years ago (I was 10) and my mom bought a copy of "Quicksteppin" which I still have. My version of "Shenandoah" (not posted online yet, but maybe soon) is loosely based on the version on that CD.
Hi John and Trish! I finally took some time to peruse your myspace site and listen to the wonderful music for more than just a couple minutes. It's so good to hear you! Hopefully your travels will bring you back to Rochester sometime.
What a wonderful surprise finding your friend request! I have memories of being completely blown away listening to you play back at VCHS (I can’t believe what I’m about to type) almost 40 years ago! The songs you have on your page are outstanding! Thank you for adding me to your circle of friends and please stay in touch!
Hi John, thanks for the add! It was great running into you the other day, thanks for the information on guitars. Give my love to Trish, hope to see you both soon!
Thanks, John and Trish, for adding John and myself to your list. We had fun last week at Skidmore as well as at the Native American festival. You all did a great job. We also want to know the name of that great stepdancer Mick Moloney brought in from Burnt Hills! We were too impressed by his talent to remember his name...
So this morning on the news, in all the tributes to Pavaroti's memory, I heard Nessun Dorma from Turandot. And of course, I thought of you and our mandolin class. Bravo, Georgie!
Hey John! There's photographic evidence that I not only can play fiddle, but can walk at the same time! (and my form isn't even that awful, all things considered). Thanks for a GREAT week. No one teaches like you do. I'll be in touch about other music things soon.
Howdy, John Kirk! Glad to know you're floating around out here in myspace, too. Thanks again for the great week. Taking my mando to a jam tonight and going to play the heck out of that double-stop scale you taught us. Want to hear something cosmic? Bennett Hammond now has a myspace page, too. You must be his friend. He's talking about having a blog. I think Bennett was born to blog. He's at myspace.com/bennetthammond. See you next year. Y'all come to Georgia!
Your site rocks my socks!! It looks so great!! Also I'm stoked on beating out Tom for the top position!! SHO SHWEET!! (its harder to type a lateral lisp than it seems?!)
