Roman's Kind Of Blue performs blues, jazz, fusion and rock. Whatever the situation calls for we have the qualified professionals to meet the request. Our players are some of the most respected and accomplished players in the business. First slideshow below: KOB's Roman hosting a jam in Allentown, PA featuring Charles Fambrough (McCoy Tyner, Whitney Houston) on bass, Roger Prieto on trumpet (Bootsie Barnes, Ortlieb's Jazz Haus Phila.), Sam LaZare (Fambrough student) on drums.
Inspired by the Miles Davis album of the same name that set new standards for improvising with blues, modal, and jazz formats, Kind Of Blue prides themselves on playing unique, creative, and spontaneous arrangements of classics, standards, and originals.

Recently Kind Of Blue went into the studio to try and capture some of these spontaneous elements. To keep it creative and fresh, like the master before them in 1959, the charts were intentionally kept from view until it was time to record. The result is "Blues...Kind Of!" which has received airplay in jazz, blues, rock, and fusion formatted programming.

Roman's Kind Of Blue is a trio, quartet, or more. KOB is just as comfortable providing fine dining with smooth jazz or rocking festivals with blues and fusion. You may hear anything from Miles to Hendrix.
And Kind Of Blue's live show is more. Traditional tones are plentiful, but modern sounds are also used and new soundscapes are explored. Stereo panning, horn electronics, good stage presence and an animated performance, each show resulting in a new version of their originals and classics. From a show stopping festival act to a background dining experience, Kind Of Blue delivers the goods.
