A native of Chicago, IL Keshia McFarland began singing at the age of seven in the junior choir of the Unity Fellowship M.B. Church where her father, Charles Williams is Pastor. Coming from a very musical family, it took Keshia no time to start a life of singing and recording with Ricky Dillard and the New Generation Chorale, and Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago. Keshia transferred to Atlanta, GA where she has professionally sang background for many Gospel Artists such as Donald Lawrence, Darwin Hobbs, Christopher Lewis, Mariah Carey, Ted & Sheri, Byron Cage, and many more. Teaming up with Christopher Lewis, CEO of Frontline Entertainment, Keshia is releasing her first project "Covergirl". This cd reflects Keshia’s triumph over struggles with identity, self-esteem, etc. This project is also a testimony and celebration of life in Christ! Be on the look-out for her highly anticipated cd as she also introduces "CHUR-Ban" music... Stay tuned!
I pray this letter finds you and your family well. I am currently considering overseas missions that I may be of assistance to the people in Africa and wherever the Lord opens doors for me to serve.
Throughout the year of 2009, God has offered me the opportunity to go to various African countries with International Mission Group of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (MPBC) They have been in outreach ministry since 2002, under leadership Dr James Graham. Their vision is to support and nuture the international families of all cultures. This mission trip will br reaching out and spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ, while feeding those that are hungry. God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for these people. However I am asking for your assistance in order for me to go and do what God has commanded, and there are various ways you can be a part:
1) First, Prayer for God to lead you in whatever way. We will need your prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our effort as we minister to people.
2) Second, Prayer for our Leaders and Pastors who will be joining us. The word will go out with power and conviction. Lives will be transforming through the work of the Holy Spirit.
3) Thirdly, we will traveling throuhout the countries visiting other missions. Pray for God's grace and His traveling merices.
We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time we need to raise 3,000 each to attend this trip and is quite a challenge. You would be planting a seed in my ministry by make a small donation. Would you consider supporting me? I would need the money before March 1st in order to pay for the airline ticket and other items.
