KeepSweet is the brainchild of former roadhouse country singer, Erin Gannon (Motel Fresno). After 2 years of extensive and extremely tiresome guitar-player searching, these songs, and indeed this project, are finally beginning to see the light of day.
My research into this subgenre has resulted in a substantial collection of unsavory old blues tunes, circa 1920s & 30s, all recorded by blueswomen, most of which have been forgotten, due to their outrageous content. I've assigned myself the task of bringing these gritty-assed little gems back to life. My partner-in-crime, Jeremy Kennedy, and I are in for quite the battle. But fear not, we have whiskey and two Celtic tempers as weapons.
