We play as a duo under our names, Kathy and George Chapman. We also play in a band called Whately Green. Kathy is on acoustic guitar and vocals, George on bass, Kate Marion Lapierre on fiddle, piano and vocals, Roland Lapierre on electric and acoustic guitar and vocals. Kathy is a singer/songwriter born and raised in the Pioneer Valley. She has performed with various local artists at local venues the past 6 years. She made her first CD titled "Because of You" with Dick Amberman in a duo called LIMITED EDITION. The CD is available at http://cdbaby.com/cd/limitededition.
George has been a bass player since growing up on Long Island, playing in various bands there as a teen. He moved to Western Mass in the 70’s and has played with numerous groups.
Kathy and George perform with 2 other local musicians/songwriters in a band called Whately Green. Their music is a composite of both original and cover tunes with a country rock sound, great vocals, and a variety of instruments and style.
Both Kathy and George are currently working on a compilation of Kathy’s new material, due out in the fall.
