Kathryn is an award-winning author of young adult fantasy and science fiction. Having read her father's collection of sf and fantasy at an early age, she started writing her own stories at 14. Her books have won an EPPIE for Best Fantasy, a Dream Realm Award for Best Anthology, and finaled for an EPPIE for Best Anthology and a Dream Realm Award for Best Young Adult. She is used to dealing with alien life forms, as her two feathered owners (a Moluccan cockatoo and a Jenday conure) will attest.
