CHILDHOOD…
Karyn’s passion for music started early. At the age of 2, she would go up to tables and get all the attentions singing and doing her own little concert. At 4 years old, she asked for her first birthday present: a radio with a microphone. At 6, the little girl was already singing live in restaurants, birthday parties and malls. When she was 12, she wrote her first song.
ADOLESCENCE…
Karyn wrote many songs and after a lot of work, she signed with a record label and released 3 albums between the years of 1999 and 2002. Her songs and her name started to get known in Brazil. And it wasn’t only the Brazilians who fell in love with Karyn Garcia. In 2002, her song “My image in the mirror” (English version for “Minha imagem no espelho”) was theme of soup opera "Mulheres Apaixonadas" (Women in love) in Portugal. That made Karyn's voice and name get known in the country.
NEW PHASE…
At the age of 17, that Karyn’s career took a new direction. In this year she met Dj Cuca, a renowned musical producer. From this partnership, came the “Agiliza” (Hurry Up) album. The songs “Boyfriend”, “Bye Bye” and ‘Quero ter você” conquered all nightclubs all over Brazil, becoming one of the top ten hits on Brazilian Dance Charts. The music video “Boyfriend” was successful in MTV and the female artist did lots of concerts in 2004 and 2005. In 2004 she also released "Agiliza International" the Spanish version of the album with 3 songs in English.
PAUSE…
During 2 years, Karyn dedicated her time to studying. She’s spent some time in England, Spain and France. She took theater classes, singing classes and also improved her English and Spanish speaking. And as a good lover of trips and new cultures, Karyn is taking French classes.
TODAY…
Karyn Garcia is in the studio finishing her new album in Portuguese and is starting to work on her debut international album. In this new album, we will hear a more mature Karyn who's writing all the songs. “There’s a lot of me in this album. Each song I’ve written, I’ve done it with my soul”, says the singer. The first single has been released: “That’s the way I am”. About the new single, Karyn says, “I’ve always cared too much about other peoples’ opinions. Besides, I used to have self-esteem problems. That’s why I wrote this song. It’s an inspiration for me and I hope it’s the same for everyone.”
A little shy, very determined, charismatic and charming. These are some words to describe this young singer/songwriter, who has a lot to show us. And she’s going to surprise us. Now let's wait to hear from this young talented woman all around the world!

NIÑEZ…
La pasión de Karyn por la música empezó en su infancia. Con tan sólo 2 años de edad ya subía en mesas para hacer su “espectáculo”. Con 4 años pidió su primer regalo de cumpleaños: una radio com micrófono. Con 6, la chiquita ya se presentaba cantando en resturantes y fiestas de cumpleaños infantiles. Con 12 años, compuso su primera canción llamada “Caso Real”.
ADOLESCENCIA…
“Caso Real” y otras músicas vinieron y Karyn grabó 3 Cd’s entre los años 1999 y 2002. Sus músicas la hicieron quedarse conicida en todo el interior de São Paulo y Minas (Brasil). Y no fueron sólo los paulistas y mineros que se encantaron con Karyn. En 2002, su música “My image in the mirror” (Mi imagen en el espejo) fue tema musical de la telenovela “Mulheres Apaixonadas” (Mujeres Enamoradas) que fue mostrada en Portugal. La música incorporó el CD de la grabadora Somlivre e hizo con que el nombre de la joven se quedase conocido en el país.
NUEVA FASE…
Con 17 años, sua carrera siguió una nueva dirección. Fue en aquel año que Karyn García conoció el renombrado DJ Cuca, productor musical. De esa aparcería nació el Cd AGILIZA. Las músicas “Boyfriend”, “Bye Bye” y “Quiero tenerte” dominaron las discotecas de todo el país. El clip “Boyfriend” se mantuvo en la MTV con mucho éxito y la artista hizo muchos espectáculos por Brasil.
PAUSA…
En los dos años siguientes, Karyn hizo una pausa en su carrera y se dedicó a los estudios. Estudió teatro, canto, perfeccionó su inglés y español. Y como una buena amante de viajes y nuevas culturas, está estudiando el francés.
ACTUALMENTE…
Karyn está en estúdio concluyendo la producción de su nuevo Cd, con su estreno previsto para este año. Además de ese nuevo trabajo traer una voz más madura e interpretaciones más seguras de la cantante, trae también su lado de cantautora más marcante, ya que todas las fajas son de su autoría. “En ese Cd hay mucho de mí”. “Cada música que compuse, lo hice con mi alma”. - dice la cantante. Ese será el primer Cd en español que Karyn lanzará. “El español es una lengua muy linda y naturalmente romántica.” - completa Karyn.
Un poco tímida, muy determinada, carismática y encantadora. Esas son algunas palabras para describir esa joven cantante/cantautora, que aún tiene mucho para mostrarnos. Vamos a esperar para oír la voz de Karyn alrededor del mundo. Y ella, seguramente, nos va a sorprender.

(do u think Mozart walked around with a big fucking sign that said" hi i'm the greatest composer in the universe, and will change the planet with my music"?) the quality GUY or GAL...has the Beingness to be anything, actuallly... on demand. They can create any illusion, but the "keepers" do this for good, naturally. Constructive or Destructive? that's the only two types. a civilization is only as great as it's dreams and its dreams are dreamed by artists
