Jul 24 2008 5:16 PM

haha yeah.
Blues is a very good genre.
Many good artists...Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Blind Willie Johnson, Howlin' Wolfe and Muddy Waters.
I could go on haha.

Ah nice.
You enjoy yourself now!
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Blues 'ey.

Have you heard of Lightnin' Hopkins? He's a good blues musician.
Jim

Jul 23 2008 12:58 AM

Hahaha. I love Cyanide and Happiness. I'm proud to be a featured character in that comic. Haha.
Jim

Jul 23 2008 12:42 AM

LA is expensive as hell for the most part. If you really want to do it, though, stick your mind to it and you'll be able to eventually. Too many people for me, personally. Haha.
Jim

Jul 23 2008 12:30 AM

Haha. I'm probably going to get an apartment out in Riverside after this year so I can live out there year-round instead of just while I'm in school.
Jim

Jul 23 2008 12:14 AM

I'll be going to UCR. Close enough for me to commute, but everyone who knows me knows I've been dying to get out of this house forever. Haha. My hard work in high school really did pay off, actually. I'm actually a sophomore already. AP tests saved a ton of money. Haha.
Jim

I move in on September 21st, and my classes start on September 25th. I'm very much looking forward to moving out, and dare I say I'm actually looking forward to my classes, too. I have a pretty cool schedule for my first quarter--psychology, sociology, and philosophy. It's going to be a very intellectual quarter.

Jul 22 2008 11:58 PM

Yeah definitely.
It's hard to get a job in Rancho especially. =/
Or so it seems that way.
Jim

Jul 22 2008 11:48 PM

Couldn't have put it better myself. Hopefully I still have that kind of time when I move into my dorm and start college. Haha.
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:48 PM

Unfortunately, I don't really have any source of income to buy my own food.

I've applied to many places, although no one has said anything.
Jim

Jul 22 2008 11:42 PM

Yeah, I've never really thought it's too particularly healthy to constantly be doing something social. I don't know about other people, but I tend to like some alone time to just reflect on life and all of its goings-on from time to time.
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:38 PM

Some of it, I can.

Yeah, unfortunately my family refuses to buy organic.
I'll convince them yet...
Jim

Jul 22 2008 11:32 PM

Haha yeah, competing with music is pretty much a lost cause. Music always triumphs. Haha. I have no life...
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:32 PM

Hahaha true.
Organic is better anyways.
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:25 PM

Quite true, quite true.
Luckily things are changing for the better though, that is much better than us all just sitting on our asses and not doing anything at all.
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:14 PM

haha Indeed.

Personally, I'd rather save every life, rather than destroy any.
But it's hard for many people to live in these conditions...alas.

If only we weren't so blinded by just using oil.
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

Jul 22 2008 11:10 PM

haha.
Hell yes, that would definitely work.

I'd say that's the best plan I've heard thus far!
Edmond (Flies With Eagles)

While this is true for many people, I'd prefer for there to be no offshore drilling, I think we really should have just researched alternative energies LONGGG ago and put them into effect or try.

But it's hard to say many people would do the same as you would.
Jim

Jul 22 2008 10:45 PM

Yeah, that's fine. I'll just be sitting around here trying to find another job. Just give me some warning before you come over, because sometimes I'll be blasting music or playing guitar in my room to the point that I can't hear the door bell.
Jim

Jul 22 2008 8:40 PM

Well, I don't work anywhere now...
I worked at UPS until tonight. I had to quit. I was loading boxes up to 150 pounds into trailers, and repeated heavy lifting made my hernia go crazy (which hurts like hell, I might add). I tried to get transferred to small sort today so I wasn't doing really heavy lifting, but they told me I couldn't transfer for 6 months. My options were to deal with intense pain 5 days a week for 6 months, go on disability, or quit. I pretty much had to quit. Disability wouldn't have done anything for me.
Jim

Jul 22 2008 3:36 PM

I work 5:00 to 11:00 P.M. on Monday through Friday, so you can pick them up any time that doesn't conflict with that (assuming I still work there after today).
Jim

Jul 22 2008 2:52 PM

Haha, I never did get a comment back from you until now. I've never read any Bukowski, but I've heard countless good things about him. Perhaps I'll look into reading some of his stuff when I get the chance. Any suggestions on where I should start? Oh, and I read your bulletin about computer speakers, too, and I believe I may have some if you still need them.
