| About Justin Writer and the Dissonance |
Jingle Bells was recorded in December 2007 in Catlett’s resonant Gothic Hall (Norman, OK). It’s free, unrehearsed and occasionally inspired by Christmas carols (w/ special guest Patrick Conlon, violin)
In tiny music, we all improvise very quietly in a high register. It begins with two music boxes being cranked simultaneously. Other instruments enter one at a time until all are playing. Then, each instrument exits one by one, leaving just the two music boxes.
Art Openings and define vars are spontaneous improvisations based on a book passage chosen by a member of the group after looking through a pile of random books for about 2 minutes.
tiny music, Art Openings and define vars were recorded during a live concert on November 12, 2007 in Norman, OK.
