| General | Alex aka Kortex : my Golden Centaurus and the Man of my Life...
Drawing, painting, comics, and everything that allows me to hold a pencil in my hand.
And Music... Vital substance. Like blood in my veins.
Singing too.
All the time.
And I've started playing the guitar.
I'm really attracted by occult sciences, religious iconography, human monsters, robots/cyborgs and Insane in general.
I admire Beksinski, Schiele, Giger, Bacon, Toulouse-Lautrec, Rockwell, Studio 4°C Bosch, Goya, Arthur Rackham, Waterhouse, The Pre-Raphaelites, John Sargeant, Brom, Chet Zar, Ramiro Rodriguez, Cam de Leon, Kent Williams, Yukito Kishiro, Jamie Hewlett, Mark Ryden, Junko Mizuno...and also the Londonian Punks, a true source of inspiration for me.
And to conclude, getting a new Vivienne Westwood piece drives me crazy.

One of my dearest dream would be to work for them
"The 10000th day - Head" and "The 10000th Day - Heart"
I'm a very sensitive person.
Especially with music.
Music has quite a magical impact on me.
And the first time I totally understood the meaning and depth of the "10000 days" lyrics,
I have been so touched by this paradoxical feeling of tragedy and hope, that tears came spontaneously.
So spontaneously...
Now, every time I listen to this song, it wrings my heart.
It haunted my mind so much, that I HAD to create something related to this magical text and music.

One day, like one year ago, I made this drawing :
And several months after, I have been offered a t-shirt of the band with this illustration

I like this man a lot.
I like this man who seems so steadfast, open-minded, faithful and true.
I like this man because he seems... like... really involved.
Involved in his job, involved in his ideas, involved in Life.
Of course I only give my feelings based on videos and photographs ; but sometimes
I wish I had him as an uncle, to sit on his knees and listen to his incredible voice.
Moreover, as a friend told me when we talked about him, when he plays drums,
he REALLY plays drums. He doesn't fulfil with making the rhythm.
Once more he's involved, in every song. He adds a real atmoshpere to the universe of Tool.
So... He gave me enough inspiration to make a little portrait.
(And yes, I want to see him with native american roots. Feathers suit him really well.)
