Band Members	Julius was born at the turn of the century when guitarist/vocalist Russell Hughes and bassist/vocalist Max Hinojosa moved to New York from Austin, TX. They ultimately met drummer Angelo Merendino and the line-up was solidified. Julius hit the NYC scene hard, creating a buzz and leaving their mark where ever they performed. Influenced by such greats as The Beatles, Dylan, Costello, Morrissey and Zeppelin, Julius has fashioned a Bravado-Pop style filled with compelling and intelligent lyrics, super-catchy hooks, hip-shaking grooves and muscular playing. Think of Julius as ear candy that bites you back. A hot act to catch in NYC, Julius has built a strong following by playing clubs like Arlene’s Grocery, The Living Room, Kenny’s Castaways, The Knitting Factory and the now defunct CBGB’s. The boys are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on their soon to be released debut CD. “Julius is a fresh burst of energy…a driving, rocking, balls-out band!!!!
