| About Jule Medders & the Conasauga Troubadors |
Jule Medders is an accomplished and prolific songwriter from Northern Georgia. He penned several country hits in the 90s including Diamond Rio's "Nowhere Bound" and Brian White's "That's Another Song."
After growing up on and raising his own children on an old Civil War battlefield just north of Resaca, Jule released his first album Shades of Blue and Gray in 1999. Perhaps there is no better or bitterer subject for an Americana album than the Great War that divided both nation and family almost a century and a half ago. Shades is full of lonesome fiddle and rocking guitar and encourages both the remembrance and healing of the tragic thing that happened.
Jule is currently recording an album of new material with a much broader appeal and hopes to release it in the middle of 2008.
The Conasauga Troubadors are made up of Jule's three sons Cheyenne (bass), Carson (guitar) and Will (drums), and occasionally his two sisters Melea and India, as well as co-producer Charlie White on guitar. Over the last ten Christmases or so, Jule has pursuaded Santa Claus to shower the boys with a steadily increasing arsenal of vinage guitars, amps and drum sets, for which they are eternally grateful. Hear some of their own music here.
