Hi there! Welcome to my song site! Although I put this site up so that record labels and producers would find it and pay me lots of money to rock out, after several months of silence, I've realized that I'm probably stuck being a square for the remainder of my life. Therefore, most of you are probably friends from high school or college or something so here's a quick update of my life. . . I finished college at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2001 and against everyone's better judgment spent the next four years down the road at Duke. I married a hometown girl two years ago and moved to Norfolk, VA to work at the Naval Hospital there. We moved to Japan in August 2006 for me to be a medical officer for sailors on a destroyer squadron and eat sushi. You can enjoy the details of our exploits and lots of pictures at our blog - joshandbeccainjapan.blogspot.com.
I have yet to find a band to rock out with in Japan; I am leading a worship team, which is fun, but not the best place to showcase my originals. I hope to continue work on new songs here in Japan and will post them here as I finish them (don't get too excited, they take me months to do!). Other than that, lots of other stuff happened over the past 10 years. . . hope to hear from you. . . come visit us in Japan!
Um...I think I should be in your top 23...cause that's Michael Jordon's number and we all know how I'm a superstar! Or will reach superstar status once people realize I'm related to you!
i'll be in norfolk (working in newport news shipyard) till summer 2009 (God willing...I don't want to get pulled for someone else's deployment or anything). when will you be back??
Josh! How are you doing?? How's everything at LH? I miss doing worship with you guys, and hangin out. I pray God is blessing you & Rebecca & daughter. Anyway, drop me a line. Would love to hear from ya.

Happy Birthday to you, and your new baby girl too! I hope this year's fun with your new little one! Give my best to your wife, and know that in life... precious moments are few, so I pray this one lasts through and through. Love, your corny poetic friend from across the miles who's rhymes are no where as good as yours! Love, Cristina CONGRATULATIONS and tell Becca she looks like a true champ (aka STILL beautiful!) after hours of labor!!!!
Happy Birthday Big Daddy Boy!!!!! I hope all your Rock star dreams come true. Can't wait to celebrate with you in 5 months:) Unless I dig a hole on the beach and we meet half way;)
$99/hr dance lessons!!! What a steal! Sunday after the Broad Street Run (with Brandon, Hannah, & Maureen) it was time for a hair cut so I put my music on shuffle. "My Promise" came on -- I had forgotten how good the lyrics are. How're things shappin' up?
Posted a couple new pics on my page, you might get some warm & fuzzy feelings while your taking dramimeenzzze during the rockin` of the boat, watch out for seagulls while shooting machine guns... Hallejuia Holla Back!!!
So guess whose parents introduced themselves to me this past Sunday. ... Jen Thompson's.
Aaaaand guess who's in the DE News Journal's Crossroads. Jen Thompson in a big article called "Sacred Spaces". Her paintings are being featured at a school in Wilm city.
And I love the new pic' for "Progress" - just noticed it. Just read the blogspot update. Guess I forgot/didn't realize Toni was comin' to town for a visit. Nice change of pace. She goes down in history as your first non-island guest.
So glad I got to see you guys :o) Sorry it was another crazy, quick, food-infused meeting for you guys.... We got our choiced from the AirForce - our tip top ones are Colorado Springs, Alaska - woohoo, Langley Virginia, Salt Lake City, Boston... and the list goes on.
We got your pakage!!!! Everything is beautiful! Unfortunately one of the tea cups' handles broke. I'm in the process of fusing it back together with the help of a little gorilla glue. The tea is really good! I kept it all to myself...muuaaahahahahaha. Neil can have some if he really wants I guess. Thanks for eveything! It was such a nice suprise! When is Rebecca due? Will you two have a baby shower?
Since it's such a reliable source, you'll appreciate this as well:
Irregardless is a term that has caused controversy since it first appeared in the early twentieth century. It is generally listed in dictionaries as "non-standard".
The origin of irregardless is not known for certain, but the consensus among references is that it is a portmanteau of irrespective and regardless, both of which are commonly accepted standard English words. By blending these words, an illogical word is created. "Since the prefix ir- means 'not' (as it does with irrespective), and the suffix -less means 'without,' irregardless is a double negative."
"although the formula itself (with its twenty-three ingredients) is a closely guarded secret. Contrary to a popular urban legend, Dr Pepper does not and never has contained prune juice" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Pepper
ah yes Tokyo, well it might not be for a little while, probably like after you're not in Japan anymore, something like that, but we'll see...thought of any names yet?
