John Maher is a Kilkenny(Rep of Ireland) born musician now residing in Worthing. He first picked up a guitar at the turbulent age of 16, much to the dismay of his family. The first few years were relatively low key as he played to indifferent audiences in garages and band competitions.
Skip on a couple of years and things were starting to take shape in his mind as to what he wanted. After a few solo performances he joined forces with some local musicians and this band threatened but never truly delivered.
John then decided to take a long break from writing music and moved abroad to sunnier climes. After a few years in the wilderness he moved to Brighton on the English south coast. It was here that his love of music was rekindled thanks to his surroundings.
2007/2008 is being spent writing feverishly and recording demos and John is now in the process of assembling a group of like minded musicians to bring the music to its full live potential.
2009 will see his original brand of sharp indie / rock with its Beatles inspired harmonies and infectious melodies come to a town near you.

Oh my god, 9 weeks will fly. It is so exciting and I love the names. I was thinking of Oisin too. Brian and Lily are great, both sitting here watching Cork play Tipperary in hurling. Don't know where I went wrong, but Lily seems to like watching sports especially darts! Anyway, love to Mel and will be in touch. xxx
Hi John, just home from Niamhs. Joey is full of beans and was all about Lily. I kept asking him if he would like to have a baby sister and I am still waiting for him to answer me. Anyway, won't be long now (said the solider to the girl, ha ha). About 7 weeks I would say. How is Mel doing? Getting anxious? Such a great time. I hope she is taking it easy.
