Sounds Like
People say we sound like a ton of artists. We've heard we sound like Ryan Adams, Counting Crows, Tom Petty, The Jayhawks, Neil Young, Train, etc. However, after all the shows we've played, let us know what you think.
The Jones Family Fortune is Ian Jones (guitar/piano/vocals), Scott Martin (drums/vocals), Jason Gover (bass) and Ron Stoehr (Lead Guitar).
Based out of Seattle, the band started hanging out during the end of 2005 and formally named themselves about March 2006. With their first album complete, they've started the second album which should be done by winter of 2008.
Ian, Scott, Jason and Ron have all played with other bands, toured extensivly and with The Jones Family Fortune, hope to get back up to speed and back out on the road. They met, ironically, by answering an add in a local paper, somethng none of them had ever done before.
The music is melodic vocal based Indie rock with hints of Pop and Americana

Hey Friends, it's me, Flowmotion & the Summer Meltdown Festival.
Just wanted to remind everyone, the festival is coming up in about three weeks or so and tickets are about to go up in price on July 23rd. Now is the time to get your tickets. 30+ bands on three stages, camping on 40 acres next to the river and epic views of glacier capped Whitehorse Mountain from the stage. It's about 75 minutes north of Seattle in Darrington WA. This is going to be one of the best years yet, so please tell all your friends and spread the word about the tickets going up next week. Visit the official site by clicking on the graphic below to get all the details.
Saw that you guys were affected by the wake of the croc closing too. bummer man. we should do another show at the tractor sometime. try to make some sense of this fuckin city in ruins.
I loved your show! Ian's voice and the good chemistry of the band makes it very enjoyable to watch/listen! You guys rock in that kickin up your heels kinda way! :) Very refreshing and yet still undeservingly underrated. I will be requesting your songs on KEXP for sure! Glad I made it to the Comet and I will definitely be seeing you at the Croc! xx
Thanks for taking the time to give the new tunes a listen, and the positive comments. Those were recorded at Los Flamingos in Granite Falls, WA. back on New Years Eve. One mic with a sony minidisk recorder, crazy huh?
