"Johnny Action Figure is one of the few rock acts of the early 21st century that manages to combine pop sensibilities from yesterday, without coming off retro at all. And the quartet deserves a pat on the back for issuing an album that sounds like a band playing live in a room together — something that's sadly become an anomaly in the modern day pop world."
Greg Prato - All Music Guide
“Fans of the Shins and old R.E.M. take note... This is smart, tepid pop with heart and the kind of immutable chops that warm even the coldest of hearts.”
CHORD Magazine

The Blackbox Collective is located Downtown on Central Blvd. between Terry St. and Parramore, Heading towards 441. It's the big green building with grafiti all over it, in the ghetto.
your tour dates need to quit being so inconvenient for me. i'll try to bounce up to nyc to see you the 14th, but i cannot make any promises.
there's like 5 bands playing that night, that show is going to go way on into the wee hours of the night and i know how unfriendly the bus station in nyc gets after 2 a.m. plus thursday nights are my volunteer training nights.
the philly show would be way more convenient if i was bloody 21 already.
Heyyy, guys! I was wondering if you could do me a favor. :) My friend Allie's birthday is next Saturday and she's a HUGE fan! I was hoping that maybe you could comment her and wish her a good one? Her URL isssss: www. myspace. com/allzz
Hey guys! Thanks for adding me! I LOVE your music!! If you are ever in the Jim Thorpe/Hazleton area, I'd love to photograph you guys! (for free of course ;-) Have a great weekend!! -Christy
i'm good, thanks. and you guys are really good live. me and my friend went to see boys like girls back in may... and we really don't love them. but we're really glad we went because you guys were so much better, live, than their cd. and we ended up gaining a new respect for them, too. but yeah, i'll definately try to make it to a few shows! :D
Hey how are you? Hope all is well ! My new song "Drama Lady" is up and running...take a listen and drop some feedback on my page! Take care and keep on keeping on!!!
