Hi, I’m John.
I’m releasing a CD this summer called Some Glitter. It’s ten years old but It’s awesome so we’re putting it out there. It’s heavily inspired by Seth Faergolzia and one of the tunes was written in a Laundromat at 4:am with Toby Goodshank and Babs Todras. We woke Seth up with the song at sunrise by singing it to him outside his window. He was very nice about it.
Since then i've written mostly stories while continuing to steer clear of as many “normal” chords and progressions as possible. An album with recent material will be out spring ’09.
In ’01 I created Milk Voice Records with Samuel Santangelo and released my first album, Clouds Today. Milk voice is what you get when you eat cheese or drink milk and you get that bubble and you sound like Fred from Scooby Doo. When you get milk voice, don’t swallow. Start singing. My buddy Geoffrey says, in reference to Clouds Today, that I write great break up songs. Thank you Geoffrey. I've had some solid people help me to produce my material including my buddy from my hometown of Syracuse, Samuel. He’s a one-man party and a Muppet version of Macgyver.
Samuel and I took off with Jay Ruby and The Carpetbag Brigade in the summer of ’04 for four months. We performed in a stilt-walking ballet from LA to British Columbia. It is, so far, the best summer of my life. I’d like to tell you I was one of their stilt characters, painted up and taller than Voltron, but I’m happy to say that I composed an hour long soundtrack for them and played it live with David Jacob on kit all summer. This is an excerpt of Mud Fire at a multi-cultural festival in Monterey Mexico last year. Tyler Lusk is playing drums on this recording. I still work for them from time to time but mostly I take pleasure in hopping in their presence. I completed the material for my concept album in ’06 and I hope the brigade will choreograph something to it someday.
The Mudfire Soundtrack and the concept album are two more releases I look forward to sharing.
thanks for your interest. be well. - John

You mean..."Stoned By The Massive Rock," eh?? I am well and the massive rock, or maybe the things we have no control over are surrendered to for the last 3 years again: I guess therefore "They" or "It" have no power over me these days thank to my renewed faith and relationship to Our Universe.
I still have the barefoot gravediggers CD somewhere...And, ther newer albumn you gave me years ago. How are you buddy? I love you as a brother and love what I seeing and hearing on your page. Classic Ludington (one D). FANtastic, John!! Here comes Autumn. cole
....and then there was that time when your sister sent you upstairs to get the cake out of the freezer and you came to the window to ask her which cake and she got so irritated with your silly questions....lololololol... oh I haven't laughed so hard since the last time we hung out with your sister!!!!!...member that? Miss you!!!
I'm glad to hear it, man. You rocked that shit with the force of a thousand angry omnicorns. And Some Glitter rules the land. The villagers are scared for good reason. Stumbling Drunks is the national anthem.
Remember Rolling Earth? I dont!! Barely. at least... Saw you in Brookland with anders and alex.. sounded great!! forgot to say high, sorry. see you again i hope
The All Stars just wasn't the same without you John, looking forward to many more lud'ed 1st Thr's.
Here's me covering your tune - I played it pretty much exactly the same at the show but messing up a bit more. it took a solid week of playing it over and over and over to get it even as down as I did. Probably the toughest cover I've ever done (System of a down Chop Suey a close 2nd perhaps). Anyway, enjoyed learning it and like being able to listen to it anytime I want now (GREAT song).
John, you were really great at Lockstock. I was really impressed with your music. I hope you can make it back next year. I'll have to look you up if I'm ever out to the west coast.
FRIDAY AUGUST 1st... JERRY'S BIRTHDAY BASH @ HUMBREWS! featuring members of the Miracle Show (Morgan, Norman, Jeff, Tyler, RobA) plus guests Tie Dye Steve and Rob Johnson. Come celebrate and remember with us...
Sir Johnny! Great gig at the Jambalaya this past Saturday. All the tunes were strong and clear with requisite glitter. My offer stands for un-schooled drumming and singing should you ever want/need a larger ensemble....have a fab tour! ....Blumers
Don't miss Todd Krider on Saturday July 26th,at 5pm in Blue Lake on the street stage..He's flown his fingers twice before, and now he's back for more!! The crowd may chuckle, and they might even cheer...but at the end of the day, there probably still be a damn haze from all these darn fires!
Just wanted to say thanks for contributing to DG5. I think Frolicking Dog is one of the best growers on the record, there's something amazing about it that isn't immediately apparent. Looking forward to hearing your record.
