Joey Ryan is a young acoustic singer/songwriter from Wexford, Ireland.
Beginning his journey into the acoustic side of things in October 07 Joey has progressed further than he imagined in the start and has high hopes for the future.
Sticking to his strict 'At least one gig per month' rule means he is continuing to improve and make himself more known.
Within 4 months of starting this project he had his debut album under his belt, 'Hope in Razorbeams' and has been selling this privately at gigs.
A 9 song CD, all originals spanning from Oct 07 to Jan 08 of songwriting.
Even still Joey has many new songs written and continue to write on a frequent basis and always plays a few new songs live.
These include: 'Roads' and 'Further than before'.
Joey has been working his way around the south east area and has played at such session nights like the 'One take sessions' in Kilkenny, 'Backstage at the Baily' and the 'Song club sessions' in Wexford.
Always looking to expand his gigs and music the summer will hopefully see a few gigs outside of the places he has already performed, with a few returns likely too!
