Greetings, and thanks for visiting Joe Stahlmann's Myspace, the official website for Joe Durt music. Here, you will find a wide assortment of activities such as listening to the latest tracks, perusing the concert schedule, and reading comments left by Joe's biggest fans and groupies, also refered to as "The Durties".
Joe has been creating original music since early childhood, but it wasn't until 2005 that those sounds were made public. Within less than a year, Joe began hosting an open mic at The Cove (located at 606 W. Cypress, San Antonio) on the first Tuesday of every month. He plays a set from 8:00 - 8:45, and then opens the stage for anyone who would like to perform. The Cove closes at 11:00 PM and is open to all ages. See more at http://thecove.us/main.html
At the turn of the new year, Joe finished his self-released album called "Imported". This album has 10 original tracks and is currently available at shows only. Soon, it will be produced for retail and available on the web. Keep checking back. Until then, stop by a show and pick one up for all your friends. These pre-retail albums won't last long, and are sure to be collector's items in no time!
A little bit "Americana", a little bit "Texas Country", it is hard to categorize the Joe Durt sound. But it is the songwriting and storytelling that Joe is the most proud of. Having no illusions of becoming a superstar, you won't see Joe trying out for American Idol. Success, to him, will be the day somebody wants to cut one of his songs on their own record. Until then, he is comfortable in any little honkytonk in Texas.
Joe's astrological sign is Cancer. He enjoys Jagermeister, long walks on the beach, and speaking in the third person. Comments left by "The Durties" are in no way the views or opinions of Joe Stahlmann or Joe Durt Records.
Come on out to Casbeers (1719 Blanco - SATX) this Saturday nite to celebrate Bob's birthday. I'll be doing a few Dylan covers with folks like Ashlee Rose, True Stories, Bett Butler and the Infidels.

Justin’s on Main, San Antonio
Austin American-Statesman Best Bet & Top Pick
— Lauren Dimitry, February 2007
Since beginning his solo career in 1999, Andrew Walker has captured attention with his acoustic folk sounds. After Walker opened for Slaid Cleaves in 2004 Cleaves scrawled, "Hey Andrew, nice job at the Cactus Café!" on an event poster, which is proudly on display at www.andrewwalkermusic.com.
The Canadian artist's soft vocals and clever lyrics have helped him establish a loyal fan base in Austin. Listening to Walker play now, you might never guess that he was once the lead man for alternative Ontario roots band, the Mummbleducks. Walker's solo album, "Floating Shift," marks his transformation from alternative-rocker to acoustic folk artist. The album mixes Americana, folk and pop sounds.
Oh yeah and another thing. Picture this Friday April 7th St. Louis, MO Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. St. Cloud State Huskies for the NCAA Hockey National Championship........ Double Booya!!
