Not quite sure who to compare my music to. I’d like to think I have a sound all my own, with hints of my influences.
Growing up I had the privilage to have a dad who has great taste in music. So I grew up listening to the Beatles, Jackson Brown, Cat Stevens, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many others. Being moved by their music and the passion they put in it, I was inspired to start playing and writing music.
I initially began with the guitar at age 18, and began playing with some friends of mine. By age 21, we were doing some shows in local bars under the name "Rough Sketch". The band didn't last long, but we had a blast while we were doing it.
Over the years, it was hard to write a complete song with out a band, so I eventually learned how to play all the instruments needed to complete a song.
Now at age 30, I've found the need to progress with my music, and start performing.
The addition of Dan on drums and Doc on bass, really opened a new demension to the music. Each of us having completely different backgrounds and influences, the music is very diverse and each piece has it's own unique personallity.
