Biography
"Raised in a community of blues, folk and country musicians, Joe's songwriting has long been something that was just there,
..."I can't imagine not writing or playing"..."We moved a little bit as a family from our farmhouse to a log cabin and on from there but there was always guitars and musicians where-ever we were - evenings together, everyone played something and if it wasn't a guitar or a banjo or whatever it was singing or percussion of some sort - whatever you wanted really"..."My parents have an acoustic music club too plus the music festivals we all went to - it has just always been that way you know?"
His songs are a drive from home, the book you just read or the letter from someone you know, not that Joe would say...
..."now ...I don't know how to talk about what I write about really, well I can try, I just write until it sounds like I feel then that's it". Influences are hard to pin-point too ..."songwriters, I just love songwriters and anyone that ever put into words the way they felt and, yeah, you know, my family of course". (G.M. '06)
_________ His first collection of 4 songs "e.p ..1" was self released as a split ep with songwriter and friend James Wills at the end of 2006/beginning 2007. Joe and James are also members of songwriting collective The Sea Kings link through friend list ("e.p..1" now available)

Just wanted to drop a comment to thank you once again for the beautiful drum you gave me yesterday. I've been playing it today - it has a real machine-gun quality to it that no doubt annoys the hell out of the neighbours but which I think sounds wicked!
'Wolves' is fantastic, Joe, beautiful and strange and 'Goodbye' is lovely, like tumbling down a hill in summer. Really nice way to end it! Take it easy and keep in touch!
